@ Speak

Public speaking is a skill I have learned of late, and it would seem that I am quite adept at it. I have performed a large number of public speaking events both for external organisations and on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. I cover topics related to my specific disciplines and usually put a different spin or angle on it to keep it interesting. Current topics of choice are:
- Data Compromise – A voyage into the realms of data, its value, those who would seek to acquire it and the underground economies that exist.
- Threat & Vulnerability, The Reality – A ground up view of the Hacking world, techniques you can use to protect yourself and the commercial world of penetration testing.
- Identity Theft, a Data Centric view - A view into the world of identity theft and the economies built around it from the perspective of the data itself.
- Payment Card Industry, Data Security Standard – A complete view of the standard, what it means, who needs to comply, who the stakeholders are and some tips and tricks to get you trough.
In the last two years I have performed the above presentations and variations thereof at:
- Heads of Internal Audit Forums (Numerous Locations)
- Risk & Governance Forums (Numerous Locations)
- North East Fraud Forum
- CIPFA North West
- Specific Organisations/Groups (Numerous Locations)
- ACCA/IIA Annual Networking Events (London – PodCast Download Available)
